Highlights from Being Your District Leader
Thanks to the voters who elected me as your State Committee Member & District Leader in 2022, here’s what I’ve been up to in our district:
Organizing County Committee Members
I am organizing to keep County Committee members and other local Democrats involved and informed.
Sent out monthly newsletters
Ran a deep canvassing training for Democratic volunteers
Co-organized a public meet-and-greet with judicial candidates
Pressuring Local Elected Officials
I am pressuring local elected officials to support party reforms and leftist policy.
Organized 100+ colleagues to call for a ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all prisoners in Israel and Palestine, and an end to the US’ financial and military support of Israel’s war
Co-organized a campaign to replace the leadership of the New York State Democratic Party after historic midterm election losses in New York
Expanded the coalition to oppose a harmful conservative judicial nominee to New York State’s highest court
Introduced three resolutions at the New York State Democratic Party meetings, including two that the Committee passed — one in support of the New York Health Act, which would bring single payer universal health insurance to residents of New York State, and the other in support of free public college.
Harnessing Resources
Harnessing the resources of our district to benefit the people who need them the most.
Our district is the highest turnout Assembly District in the entire state, so I recruited these active voters to volunteer for a progressive Democrat in a South Brooklyn swing district
Our district is one of the wealthiest districts in Brooklyn, so I fundraised from my district to support the Tenant Association in a NYCHA development.
